Abstract
(1) The enzyme which catalyzes the degradation of pyridine-hemichromogen to 656mμ substance, a direct precursor of biliverdin, was shown to be distributed in the supernatant fraction obtained by the cell-fractionation technic. (2) No increase in the activity of the supernatant fraction was observed by the addition of other particulate fractions. Keywords
