Abstract
In continuation of studies on the inhibitory effect of cleavage products on the velocity of enzymic hydrolysis, reaction systems are considered which contain multiple complexes of the enzyme with the partners of the reaction. The isomerization of individual complexes and the formation of additional, inactive complexes by product-binding are systematically taken into account. It is tested to what extent the form of the product inhibition indicates the nature of the fundamental reaction sequence.
