Abstract
When applied to the mass spectrum of argon, the techniques of Aston banding and I.P. curve comparison reveal the presence of metastable states of Ar+ near the ionization threshold of Ar++. These metastable states make possible the collision charge-exchange reaction 10/20 with an over-all cross section at 1 kev of a least 2.5 Å2.Keywords
