Abstract
This paper describes characteristic features of brine channels observed both macroscopically and microscopically using samples of natural sea ice. Systematic observations of brine channels, including the effects of ice growth rate and ice thickness, provide knowledge of their spatial distribution in young sea ice. Keywords
