Abstract
"M" and "T" antibodies were demonstrable in low titre in human serum, but an almost complete absence of specificity indicated an apparent lack of correlation with current or past streptococcal illness. Agglut. and ppt. tests on patient''s sera, using known "T" and "M" antigens, had little value in determining the antigenic relationship of the streptococcus involved in the infection. No correlation was shown between the amts. of "M" anti-body and "T" anti-body present in the different sera. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
