Abstract
The angular distribution of neutrons with an incident energy of 15 7 MeV elastically scattered from protons has been measured in the angular range between 180° and 60° in the centre-of-mass system using the nuclear emulsion technique. The results are consistent with the previous measurements at 14 MeV and yield a value of σ(180°)/σ(90°) = 1 07 ± 0 02. By combining the present results with others at 14 MeV and fitting to an equation of the form dσ/dΩ = A + B cos θ + C cos2 θ, values were obtained of B/A = -0 033 ± 0 022 and C/A = 0 042 ± 0 026.Keywords
