Abstract
For the radiopharmaceutical examined, 58Co-labeled cyanocobalamin, there is no detectable error in a retention measurement introduced by organ flop when bilateral measurement is achieved by counting [the patient] prone and supine with a single-sided detector or array of detectors. It is reassuring to find that the assumptions inherent in adopting the rotational technique are justified. An error is introduced by unilateral detection without rotation, even in the absence of relative organ movement.
