Abstract
Hypertrophy of liver, pancreas, adrenal, spleen, and bursa was observed in chicks that recovered from experimentally induced cocci-diosis. Histopathological studies of pancreas and adrenal gland of these chicks revealed hyperplasia and hypertrophy of cells, indicating increased activity. This increased activity may explain the phenomenon of increased growth rate of infected chicks during the recovery period following coccidiosis. This publication has 12 references indexed in Scilit:
