Determinism and stochasticity in ideal two-dimensional soap froths

Abstract
It is shown that, owing to considerable stability of small cells with respect to neighbour switchings, the evolution of a two-dimensional soap froth during coarsening frequently passes through situations of fourfold and fivefold vertex decay. These situations require additional assumptions to be resolved.Keywords
