Abstract
Observation and experimental analysis of the mating behavior of X. pyrrhoderus were carried out. The mating behavior consists of at least 2 phases: the flying female approaches the resting male, and the male is stimulated by the alighting female and copulates with her. Experimental analysis indicated that in the 1st phase, the female is attracted by the sex pheromone released by the male. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
