Abstract
A cryostat for heat treating small specimens over wide temperature ranges is described. With this device it is possible to rapidly raise, lower, or hold the temperature of a small specimen without the use of a mechanical type of heat switch arrangement. A low inertia, high temperature heater is also discussed. Keywords
