Abstract
The concept of crisis has been overutilized in recent sociology. It is suggested that it is more appropriate to see the capitalist system as being not in "crisis", but in a new stage of development. This paper considers the urban and regional implications of this re-structuring with reference to Australia and New Zealand. Keywords
