Abstract
Small doses of desiccated thyroid produced a greater measurable metabolic effect in 9 patients with myxedema than in 3 patients without myxedema, or in euthyroid subjects studied by others. The tolerance to thyroid of the myxedematous patient after restoration of the euthyroid state is similar to that of the euthyroid subject. Keywords
