Abstract
Most commercial prepns. of trypsin are mixtures of trypsin and chymotrypsin. There are differences between crystalline trypsin and trypsin, Fairchild. Crystalline trypsin should be distinguished from other proteases especially in expts. where blood clotting is an important factor. Heparin does not inhibit the protease activity of chymotrypsin as it does of trypsin and one can not use an indefinite mixture of trypsin and chymotrypsin to study the effects of heparin on the inactivation of pure trypsin. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
