Abstract
In carefully selected cases of arterial aneurysms and deep-seated arteriovenous malformations (AVM), when direct attack may be dangerous or impossible, stereotaxic clipping was advocated. A special device and technique for its application were described. The instrument was introduced through a trephine opening and clipping was monitored by angiography. Successful results were obtained in 10 operations performed on 8 patients, 3 of whom had arterial aneurysms (2 internal carotid and 1 anterior cerebral-anterior communicating) and 5 with AVM.This publication has 8 references indexed in Scilit:
