On-Site Coordinated Services in Age-Segregated and Age-Integrated Public Housing

Abstract
The impact of on-site coordinated services on residential stability, relocation, institutionalization, and survival of elderly residents in age-segregated and age-integrated public housing was ascertained in this research. Residence in age-segregated housing was found to be associated with higher levels of service utilization, with higher degree of residential stability, and with higher survival rates. These findings lend support to the beneficial impact of age-segregated housing with on-site services on the well-being of elderly public housing residents.
