Abstract
The geographical variation in the seasonal distribution of a Florida endemic, the burrowing wolf spider G. patellonigra, is described. Some areas in the species range have populations that breed in the spring, some have populations that breed in the fall, while others have both fall and spring breeding populations. It is postulated that the interpopulation differences arose during the Aftonian Interglacial stage when there was extensive insulation in the area oc -cupied by this species. No consistent morphological differences could be found between the various types of populations; therefore,no attempt was made to separate them taxonomically. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
