Abstract
A patient with juvenile diabetes died at the age of twenty-two of renal failure after fourteen years of known diabetes. The pancreas showed hypertrophied islets and hyperplasia of beta cells. Insulin dyshormonogenesis is suggested as a possible explanation for this unusual finding. The need for correlating histology with extraction procedures is pointed out. Keywords
