Abstract
Amine oxidase activity of rabbit''s liver was inhibited by mono-amidines, diamidines, mono- and diguanidines and diiso-thiourea derivatives. Activity increased with chain length up to a maximum and then decreased with further lengthening of chain. Stilbamidine was less active than propamidine and pentamidine. Pentamidine inhibition was partially reversible. Marfanil (NH4SO2(C6H5)CH2NH2) and V335 (CH2SO2(C6H5)CH2NH2) were substrates for amine oxidase. Keywords
