Abstract
Average plasma tocopherol levels in groups of subjects in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Rochester, New York, were 358 ± 21 µg. per cent (S.E.) and 507 ± 32 µg. per cent (S.E.), respectively, as determined by paper and column chromatographic technics specific for alpha-tocopherol. These values were lower than those obtained by other technics which also measure nontocopherol substances. Keywords
