Communications: A System for the Incubation of Separate Groups of Salmonid Eggs

Abstract
An upwelling system for the incubation of salmonid eggs is described and evaluated. Constructed of materials available at a local plumbing store, the system allows independent incubation of up to 32 groups of eggs, each group receiving its own water supply. Incubation of not more than 1,000 eggs per group is recommended if low or highly variable survival is expected; otherwise, 1,500 eggs can be incubated.
