Dissociation Energy of F2(g) Obtained from the Study of Gas Flow of Intermediate Pressures Through an Orifice

Abstract

A new treatment for gas flows at intermediate pressures through an orifice has been developed and combined with a new experimental technique to obtain a value for the dissociation energy of F₂(g). The value determined is 41.8±0.2 kcal/mole.
