Abstract
An ‘extended’ prime code is introduced for optical code-division multiple access (CDMA). The probability distribution of the interference generated by crosscorrelation functions of the original and extended prime codes are derived analytically. The performances of both codes are then analysed using a Gaussian approximation. Finally, the extended prime code is shown to be preferable to the original code. Keywords
