Total Cross Sections in a Quark Model

Abstract
Meson and baryon total scattering cross sections are obtained using a quark model. It is emphasized that from the assumption of additivity alone [independent of or symmetry assumptions], two sum rules exist. Experimentally, they can be tested easily.
