Abstract
We study the trajectories in Veneziano's amplitude which give rise to true Regge behavior (without the oscillations inherent in amplitudes with very narrow resonances). It is found that the asymptotic form of the imaginary part of the trajectory is strongly constrained, but an example of a trajectory having the requisite properties is given. Keywords
