Abstract
This paper describes the use of hypnosis with a voluntary witness in a murder investigation. In spite of the heavy ingestion of drugs which apparently affected the witness's original perceptions during the crime incident, yielding only sketchy information on routine interrogation, hypnosis materially aided the witness's recall of events and suspect descriptors. A police artist present during the hypnosis session was able to construct a composite picture of the suspect which led to apprehension and identification of the criminals.
