Abstract
"Avertin" (tribromethyl-alcohol) is used as a basic anesthetic in combination with "controllable" anesthetics such as ether. Laboratory experiments indicate, even with chloroform, a satisfactory flexibility of anesthetic concentration, as controllable as ether alone. Clinical employment with ether or with gas anesthetics is suggested.
