Abstract
The numbers and kinds of fungi carried on footwear of travellers was determined by swabbing soles and surfaces of shoes worn by passengers on planes arriving at Honolulu International Airport, a traveller arriving on a navy ship, and shoes in luggage of persons arriving from areas outside the Hawaiian Islands. A total of 65 species of fungi was isolated from these sources. They represent 3 Phycomycetes, 5 Ascomycetes, and 57 Fungi Imperfecti. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
