HEPATIC LESIONS AND EXPERIMENTAL HYPERTHYROIDISM

Abstract
Rats fed sufficient thyroid gland to produce a marked loss of wt. over a period of 17 to 78 days did not show significant changes in the liver when compared with normal animals on the same diet. Other animals, receiving a daily supplement of yeast concentrate to prevent a loss of body wt., also showed a histologically normal hepatic structure, even when thyroid gland was fed for 81 days.
