Atopic Reagins to Penicillin, Pollens and Seeds: Thermolability, Titer and Persistence in the Skin of Passively Sensitized Macaque Monkeys

Abstract
Intradermal injection of serum of patients allergic to penicillin, grass pollen or castor beans sensitizes the skin of macaques for a period of at least 2 weeks. Challenge was possible by intravenous injection of the antigen and, in the case of penicillin and castor bean, also by the oral route. Activity of the serum is destroyed by heating to 56[degree]C for 1 hour.
