Abstract
With the recent availability of pure secretin the interest in the secretin test, as introduced by Lagerlöf in the 1930s, has been revived, this time preferably in combination with a cholecystokinin-pancreozymin test. The multiple actions of cholecystokinin-pancreozymin both on the gall bladder, on the sphincter of Oddi, and on the intestinal motility have been used by a number of authors for the improvement of the routine procedures in cholecystography, cholangiography, and the X-ray examination of the intestine. Keywords
