Abstract
A study of deposits in an elliptical depression lying east of Jerome, N. Carolina, indicates that the depression was formed about the time of the Wisconsin maximum glaciation in the East. The evidence was gathered in the study of pollen from peat samples taken every 6 inches down to 7 ft. and 4 samples at 6-inch intervals from lake clay below the peat. The pollen spectrum did not indicate any severe climatic fluctuations. This publication has 6 references indexed in Scilit:
