Abstract
Plasma‐polymerized films from hexamethyldisiloxane are suitable for giving a homeotropic alignment to p‐methoxybenzylidene, p, n‐butylaniline. A 500‐Å‐thick layer of this polymer on substrates gives a very stable liquid crystal orientation.Keywords
