Abstract
An echo has been observed in the fine-structure quantum beats of a coherently excited collection of sodium high-Rydberg-state atoms. This echo may be of value in the study of collisional dephasing of Rydberg-state atoms in much the same way as spin echoes and photon echoes have been used to study relaxation processes in other systems. Keywords
