Abstract
There has been renewed interest recently in the application of multivariate linear regression analysis to the problem of identifying a dynamic process fram normal operating data. The present paper mentions some of the inherent limitations of the linear regression approach and discusses alternative, but related recursive parameter estimation procedures which overcome some of these limitations. Keywords
