Abstract
THE treatment of meningitis due to Haemophilus influenzae has undergone considerable change in the past fifteen years. Prior to the advent of specific therapy, this disease was fatal in 90 to 100 per cent of cases, and in the rare cases in which recovery took place, severe neurologic sequelae were frequently encountered.
