Abstract
The graphical method of estimating cardiac output and central circulating blood volume is reviewed. An electronic-integration modification is described for fast, accurate cardiacoutput estimation. A mathematical representation of biphasic dilution curves is developed and, based on this analysis, formulas are proposed for determination of cardiac output and central circulating blood volume. Clinical application of this determination method is shown, and its advantages are discussed. Keywords
