Abstract
The previously supposed similarity between primary particles and aggregates in resisting splash erosion was shown to be partially incorrect. Mathematical treatment of splash‐cup data on which the earlier conclusion was based showed that for surfaces containing aggregates, the quantity of material lost per unit quantity of artificial rainfall varied with rainfall intensity; a result which contrasts to observations for primary particles. Keywords
