Abstract
In children diallylnortoxiferine is approximately 2·1 times more potent than tubocurarine both in regard to onset of action and duration of clinical relaxation, and in this ratio conditions for endotracheal intubation were equally good with both drugs. The reversal of the neuromuscular block with neostigmine was equally effective after both relaxants. Diallylnortoxiferine produces less histamine release at the site of injection. There is a tendency for the blood pressure to rise following intubation.
