Abstract
The experimental design and results for the measurement of ultrafine asbestos fibers through Nuclepore (NPF) filters is described. The efficiencies were obtained by transmission electron microscopy. A special algorithm was developed for data analysis. For NPF with diameters 1.0 μm or less, the efficiency was dependent on fiber length. The fiber efficiencies were lower than would be expected for the fibers rotating within the pores. Keywords
