Erving Goffman bequeaths us four main kinds of sociological legacies: the substantive study of the interaction order; a special intellectual perspective on sociology more generally; a reverent spirit, attitude, or mood with which to deal with scholarship; and a distinctive mode of being a scholar, colleague, and friend.Keywords
