Abstract
Although the 27 million blacks in the United States represent 12% of the population, no large-scale study of black tourist behavior has been done in the U.S.A. This pilot study of black tourists indicates some countries outside the U.S.A. that blacks would most like to visit for vacations, why they would be inclined to visit these countries, criteria for selecting a vacation destination outside the U.S.A., reasons for and against travel, satisfactions from travel, magazines blacks read, and demographics. Keywords
