Abstract
The authors investigate theoretically and experimentally the frequency dependence of cross-phase modulation (XPM) in optical fibre links with multiple optical amplifiers. The XPM phase shift in such links shows stronger frequency dependence than that in unamplified links and becomes very small at some frequencies.Keywords
