Exposure of Bacteria to 2450 MHz Microwave Radiation*

Abstract
Four strains ofEscherichia coliand one strain of Pseudomonas aeruginosa have been exposed to continuous 2450 MHz microwave radiation for 12 hours at an intensity of 60 mW/cm2. The growth curves of control and exposed bacteria have been compared for this 12 hour period. No effect on cell replication rate was detected that could not be explained as a result of temperature variation.
