Ureteral Complications in Human Renal Transplantation

Abstract
A series of 180 renal transplantations were analysed with a view to possible factors which may cause ureteral complications, which occurred with a frequency of 27%. Type of donor, match grade of tissue typing and the surgeons’ techniques were found to be closely related to ureteral complications. Our technique of ureterovesical anastomosis and our experience in the management of the complications are described.
