Analytical formulae for spectral shapes arising from emission during atom-atom collisions

Abstract
From a general semiclassical expression for the spectral intensity distribution of electrons or photons emitted during a collision by the transient molecule, two analytical formulae are derived for special situations. These formulae are shown to be applicable to the analysis of spectral features reported in the literature.Keywords
