Reversible Addition of Water to the High-Hydride-Content Cluster [Rh6(PiPr3)6H12][BArF4]2. Synthesis and Structure of [Rh6(PiPr3)6H11(OH)][BArF4]2

Abstract
The hydroxyhydrido salt [Rh6(PiPr3)6H11(OH)][BArF4]2 results from the addition of water to [Rh6(PiPr3)6H12][BArF4]2. This reaction is reversible, and the addition of dihydrogen to [Rh6(PiPr3)6H11(OH)][BArF4]2 results in the elimination of water and the regeneration of the hydride cluster.
