Abstract
The spin rotation coefficients of the recoil proton in scattering are studied from the point of view of providing a means of resolving the present ambiguities in the phase-shift solution of the scattering cross section and the polarization of the recoil proton. There are six possible experiments four of which are independent, and the magnitude and the relative sign of the scattering matrix elements can uniquely be determined by four independent scattering experiments.
