Abstract
The article examines the relationships among self-supervision, structure and technology in professional service organizations. In self-supervision, the transfer of functions to employees that traditionally have been reserved for managers is involved. It is proposed that when work flow uncertainty and task uncertainty are high, self-supervision also will be high. It is suggested that the self-supervision of professionals is based on the skill of their work. In this research it was hypothesized that supervision is more a function of structure than of technology in professional service organizations. Keywords
