Abstract
A new biflavonoid gallocatechin - (4′→0→7) - epigallocatechin was isolated from the stem-bark of Bridelia ferruginea Benth. (Euphorbiaceae), a plant used in African traditional medicine for gastro-intestinai and gynaecological disorders. Its structure was elucidated using two-dimensional NMR techniques (COSY, HMQC, HMBC).Keywords
